What is SEDS?

Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (SEDS) was founded in 1980 at MIT with the aim of promoting space exploration and development through educational and engineering projects. It is an international organization with branches all over the world, including UKSEDS.

UKSEDS: The UK Chapter of SEDS

UKSEDS organizes conferences, workshops, and competitions for students passionate about space. It provides a network of students and professionals united by a love for space exploration.

QMSEDS: Queen Mary's Chapter of UKSEDS

QMSEDS is Queen Mary University of London's official chapter of UKSEDS. Our mission is to excel on the national stage by participating in events such as the Satellite Design Competition and Olympus Rover Trials, while also engaging with the broader space community through various conferences and workshops.
In 2023, we proudly competed in the Satellite Design Competition and Olympus Rover Trials. Additionally, in partnership with the Aurora Society, we attended the National Student Space Conference at Bristol University.
