What we do
Academic Advice at QMSU is here to provide information, advocacy, advice and representation on a wide range of academic issues. We also aim to make you aware of your rights and responsibilities. Only you can make the final decision on what to do, but we can give you information to ensure that you make informed choices.
We can advise
- Undergraduate students
- Postgraduate students, both taught and research
- Recently Graduated Alumni
- Students on QMUL course delivered at partner institutions
- Students on placement.
We cannot advise
- Non-students
- Prospective Students
- Queen Mary, University of London Staff
We can advise you on academic issues, including:

- Disciplinary Hearings
- Examination Offences
- Fitness to Practice
- Grievances
- Mitigating Circumstances

Accessing Academic Advice:
If you would like to see an academic advisors, please email annie.mitchell@qmsu.org to book an appointment. Appointments are available every Tuesday and Thursday between 10am - 4pm at the Blomely Centre, and every Wednesday 10am - 4pm at the Students' Association, Stepney Way, Whitechapel.
