Undergraduate Research Internships

Undergraduate students!  Apply for a part time student internship doing critical research into some of the most important issues facing QMUL today.

These self-directed, research-based internships will focus on the following issues:

  1. Inclusivity and diversity in the curriculum
  2. BAME student attainment
  3. Student retention
  4. Commuting students

These internships will allow you to:

  • get a unique insight into the QMUL environment
  • work on critical projects and make a very real impact on QMUL
  • gain research skills and responsibility to showcase on your CV

You will work on your own or in small teams to conduct research on one of the four issues listed above. You will receive training in various methods of quantitative and qualitative research, such as surveys, focus groups, long tables and more.

Following training, you will work throughout QMUL to conduct your research. You must be able to work independently and to interact well with students from many different Schools and Faculties throughout QMUL. You will provide a final research report in term 2 on the outcomes of your research.

The internships pay £10.43 per hour, and last 4-7 hours per week in term time, spread flexibly around your availability between November 2018 and March 2019.
