And raises over £11,000!!!

A group of about 20 students from QM have waved off 204 boxes of text books they collected from local schools. Six of the students involved will in be Tanzania this summer to distribute the textbooks to local schools in the region of Singida. They also successfully raised over £11,000 through various fundraising methods throughout the year which will be put towards a Library refurbishment in the Tanzania.

These talented and dedicated students are part of READ Book Project London East which is a student-led project at Queen Mary, under the charity READ International, and supported by Provide volunteering in the Students’ Union.
