The QMSU Annual Survey is back, small in size but with big ambitions! This is your chance to let us know what you think about the many services and activities we offer you. The short survey covers everything from student representation, cafés and venues, to activities such as societies, volunteering and sport. Your feedback is then used to make changes and improvements based on what you tell us.
Last year’s Annual Survey led to some exciting new developments at your Union, including:
More activities:
- 50 alcohol-free activities: free workshops ranging from bath bomb making and DJ-ing to learning Mandarin
- The student-led Sound of Ground and Spoken Word events
- The cultural festival ‘Queen Merry’ in December which over 800 students attended
- More sports opportunities e.g badminton, basketball and tennis Get Active sessions
Improved facilities:
- £1000 invested in refurbishing the Student Media Office with the latest new software and upgraded computers
- More study space in Francis Bancroft and 76 more computers in the HIVE
- More communal seating and free foosball tables in the HUB
- Updating popular equipment in Qmotion gym and refurbished changing rooms
Other benefits to come from the survey ranged from a Health Volunteering Fair to the creation of a Club Sport Hardship Fund to help students with the cost of participating in sport.
