Social Leagues

The Students' Union Social Leagues offer a fun social environment for students and staff to compete in sport without the commitment required for a sports club. Enter as an individual or as a team with friends and course mates and take part in different leagues across all 3 semesters. Trophies and medals are awarded for the winners of each league!

All Social Leagues take place either on or near campus. The leagues are open to all abilities and fees include fixtures, officials, facilities, and equipment. You will be required to wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Weekly fixtures and results will be posted on the Social Leagues pages so you can stay updated with where you stand in the league.

The QMSU Futsal League offers an exhilarating indoor football experience at the Qmotion Sports Hall, ideal for students and staff looking to de-stress during the hectic exam season. This fast-paced variant of football brings together participants of all skill levels in a spirited and competitive environment. Each week, players engage in an exciting 40-minute match against different teams, providing ample opportunity to showcase skills and enjoy the game.

Your registration fee covers all the essentials, including netted goals, referees, balls, and bibs. Whether you're joining as part of a team or as an individual, the QMSU Futsal League promises a fun and rewarding experience for all participants. So, lace up your indoor shoes and get ready to kick, dribble, and score your way to futsal glory!

Matches take place every Wednesday in Qmotion Sports Hall. Matches are played in four quarters (total match time = 1 hour) with referees and equipment all included. All you need is a pair of trainers and some comfortable clothes to run around in.
