St John Ambulance believes that everyone who needs it should receive first aid from those around them. No one should suffer for the lack of trained first aiders. As a charity, we’re committed to making sure more people are equipped to be the most vital of things – the difference between a life lost, and a life saved.

 

LINKS is the student arm of St John Ambulance. We are both a student union society and a fully operational St John Ambulance unit, providing cover at events and making the difference across London.

 

We have weekly meeting nights which cover everything from a basic awareness of first aid through to more advanced skills and practical sessions and scenarios. We also have a vast and varied social programme.

 

We provide free first aid training for members who go through an induction weekend. Members can gain qualifications ranging from basic first aid through to emergency ambulance level, enabling them to crew an ambulance answering 999 calls on behalf of the London Ambulance Service. Members are also able to gain driving qualifications and learn to drive and respond to emergencies using blue lights and sirens.
