I am a recent Law Graduate and current Student on the MSc Management at SBM. If elected for the position I can promise a couple of things. I will work hard, with integrity and honesty. I will listen to every single one of you that has put in hard-earned money into their degree and may be feeling a bit short-changed. If elected I will voice the truth and do everything possible within this role to not let an academic degree, simply become a glorified online course.

I specifically applied for this role because even in my short time here I see the potential to improve various aspects of the school. You can expect lobbying from me in the following regards and more. The improved delivery of online teaching. A simplified and unified platform to access all the material we need. Having more flexibility for local and international students in terms of seminar slots. Better communication lines between students and lecturers. More clarity on assessments. More career events tailored to specific goals and needs. And most of all less arrogance and complacency from staff. We all deserve to be treated as equals. Make us feel like we want to engage. Do not just throw knowledge at us in a monotone lifeless manner. We are paying students and not paid employees after all.

At the end of the day, I believe that all of us at this school are here to learn, to improve our skills/CV but most of all, for an experience that should shape our lives for the better. I for one will not let this year go astray. I will do my best to have a positive lasting effect on our current cohort of SBM students and our future careers.
