Founded in 1167, Oxford is England's oldest university. Upon arrival we will take you on a walking tour of the famous college buildings, amongst cloisters and quadrangles, along the back streets and across cobblestone squares standing in the shadows of the famous 'dreaming spires'

Some of the university colleges that you will see include St John's, Balliol, Trinity, Exeter, Hertford, New College, All Souls, Brasenose, University, Merton and Christ Church.

Entry is included to Christ Church, one of the most famous University Colleges in the world. Christ Church has produced 13 British Prime Ministers in the last 200 years, and other famous attendees include Albert Einstean, Sir Christoper Wren and Charles Dodgson (aka Lewis Carroll, author of Alice in Wonderland). In recent years Christ Church was used as the setting for some of the most famous Harry Potter movie scenes, and the Great Hall, which you will see on the tour, was the inspiration behind Hogwarts Hall.

The University has 38 independent, autonomous colleges and you will also pass alongside many others on your tour. During your free time, you will be able to wander back and explore at your leisure (subject to opening restrictions).

Other famous landmarks you will cover on the tour include Carfax Tower, Christ Church Meadows, the Radcliffe Camera, the Bodleian Library and the Sheldonian Theatre. You will also be within walking distance of other sites including the Pitt Rivers Institute, St Michael at Northgate, Magdalen Bridge, The University Museum and many others.

In the afternoon after the guided walking tour and entry to Christ Church there will be plenty of time for lunch, free time, shopping and sightseeing.
