Aikido is unlike many, more direct, self-defence arts. It is not about punches or beating your opponent, nor is it about overpowering them with strength. Instead, Aikido is modern Japanese martial art, which redirects the momentum of your opponent’s attack and uses their own strength against them.
Our membership welcomes both experienced members (going as high as black belt) to newcomers who are just getting to grips with the art. You will fit right in with our friendly members and helpful teacher.
We have many socials throughout the year, from restaurant visits to exploring Japanese culture.

Saturday's 12-2pm in the Qmotion Active Studio
Introductions and then warm up. Teaching with a water break half way. You will need to wear flexible clothes, e.g. gym wear. You will be barefoot for the lesson.
