There will be an indoor tournament run which is society based. Teams of 6 will compete against each other in QMotion. This will include QM society, Pakistan soc, Indian soc and other societies.

We aim to have two teams competing in the BUCS indoor league.

We aim to have a strong outdoor squad from which a competitive outdoor team can be put out. Ideally, we want to get promoted from our current BUCS division to the one higher.

We want to compete in the LUSL and be competitive.

This the 20/20 competition. The outdoor BUCS league is of 50 over games. The last season was one of the best Queen Mary has had. The team was stronger than before and we won more games in the indoor and outdoor seasons than before. We want to keep improving and not just stall.

It’s a club on the up and improving. The objective is to improve the overall standard of players throughout the winter season and into the summer season, and to also attract players of varying abilities who can play cricket recreationally or more seriously and represent the club in the indoor and/or outdoor squads.

Taster Session
Date and time: TBC - First week of October.
Format: Net session followed by fitness and fielding drills.
Equipment needed: Training kit/sports clothing, cricket kit if they have it.
Selection process: All those who join the club will be able to train and improve. Players will be pencilled in for indoor and outdoor squads as a primary source of information. This means that from the start the coach along with the indoor and outdoor captains will know roughly how many people could make either or team. A guide for the upcoming months.

Every Wednesday 2-4pm at The Oval.

Personal Fitness

QMSU offers a gym on the Mile End campus, Qmotion, as well as a sister-gym in Charterhouse Square, Fitness to Practice, both with competitive student membership rates. This is ideal for students who want to purchase a gym membership - which is separate from a Club Sport subs - to improve and maintain peak physical fitness.

With every gym membership, you get a free 60 minute one-to-one session with trained instructors which includes:

  • A personalised gym programme tailored to your own fitness goals;
  • A full demonstration of exercise and techniques, and guidance on resistance machines;
  • Information and advice on nutrition;
  • A 60 minute review session every 6-8 weeks to re-evaluate and re-customise a new programme to avoid plateaus.
