Volleyball England is working in partnership with the Queen Mary Students Union in order to achieve the following objectives:
  • Increase the frequency and consistency of current participants playing Volleyball
  • To provide opportunities that increase the number of new participants to Volleyball
  • To retain current players moving into and out of Higher Education
  • The primary purpose of this role is to take on a coordinator role for the brand new to 2015/16 QMSU Intramural Volleyball league
The successful candidate will be required to volunteer on average 5 hours per week (Specific days and times TBC)  
 
The successful candidate will run and administer the Volleyball league that will be focused on engaging Beginner and intermediate Volleyball players
 
The successful candidate will work towards the programme targets and objectives focussed around increasing participation into Volleyball at a recreational level in a competition format.
 
The successful candidate will be working alongside the QMSU sports development team and the university Volleyball club and relevant societies to ensure that recruitment, marketing and delivery of the league is a success.
 
The role aims to provide the successful candidate with key skill development to aid future employability, with ongoing training and support from QMSU and England Volleyball
 
The successful candidate will be expected to attend complete all CPD opportunities provided by Volleyball England and QMSU
The candidate will attend one meeting per month with the QMSU sports development team to monitor and evaluate the programme and your own performance. 
 
England Volleyball and QMSU will provide the Higher Education Volleyball Activator with:
  •  New Mizuno HEVO t-shirt and hoodie to promote role: Value £50
  • Access to HEVO Conference, including travel, accommodation and sustenance – Value £400
  • Financial grant to focus on recreational volleyball delivery – Value: Up to £100
  • Up to two free space(s) on Go Spike Student Activator Award: Value £70
  • Discounted student cup entry for one  volleyball team of either gender: Value £25
  • Go Spike Student Activator Award & Go Spike Speed Cage Training: Value £35
  • Employment reference provision offered through Volleyball England
  • Access to voluntary summer work placements with Volleyball England
  • Free tickets to national volleyball events held at National Volleyball Centre, Kettering. Value: £50
  • Personal Development Plan
