The food offer at Queen Mary Students’ Union is varied, wide ranging and integral to the student and staff experience at Queen Mary University of London. From street food stalls to bar service, and hospitality delivery across 5 different sites there is an excellent opportunity for us to grow within this space and we are looking for someone to join on us on this journey. This is a brand-new role within the organisation, so the opportunity to develop projects with your own mark is certainly there.

The primary role of the F&B Manager is to ensure the operation and provision of an efficient and customer focused hospitality service across QMSU. This role will take place across our outlets, including Drapers Bar & Kitchen, Griff Inn Bar & Kitchen, Shield Café and Ground Café.  As well as operational management, you will be working on a number of exciting projects which will include a number of exciting new ones, including the development of our hospitality menu, product procurement and daytime service training to name a few. 

You should be a ‘hands on’, organised and approachable leader who is committed to the values of the organisation, being a safe, friendly environment with the student experience at its core, but with an ability to see projects through from start to finish. This role’s hours would be predominantly Monday – Friday daytime but would require occasional evening and weekend work.

Applicants should have excellent communication skills and have the ability to work with a wide range of people.  Candidates must have the ability to work well under pressure, prioritise a varied workload and meet deadlines.

The post is a permanent post with a starting salary within the range £29,082- £35,775 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, plus additional closure days which include bank holidays and additional days over the Christmas period.
