The Students' Union Social Leagues offer a fun social environment for students and staff to compete in sport without the commitment required for a sports club. Under the supervision of the Competitive and Recreational Sport Manager the cricket umpire will referee and support the running of the Cricket social league to ensure safety and enjoyment for all participants, ensuring a high level of student satisfaction.
Duties will include collecting equipment, recording attendances, scores and umpiring games. The role will require you to attend all games every Thursday 7:30 – 10pm at Qmotion.
QMSU will fully fund a level one umpiring qualification to allow the umpire to gain the required level of expertise to fulfil the role to a high standard. This qualification can also be used for external umpiring opportunities.
