This is an exciting new one year fixed term role that will engage with all areas of the Students’ Union. The Membership Services Administrator will provide administrative support for the Chief Executive Officer and Deputy CEO and support the wider membership services with projects.
The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail and a passion and enthusiasm for improving the student experience and supporting senior staff. The successful candidate will have the ability to use their own initiative, be flexible when faced with a variety of impromptu tasks, and have experience of carrying out administrative tasks.
QMSU represents and supports over 18,000 students who make up the diverse and vibrant student body at Queen Mary University of London. By supporting the Deputy CEO the Membership Services Administrator will interact with the Representation & Democracy, Student Engagement and Communications & Marketing Departments of the Union.
The Membership Services Administrator will be responsible for proof reading documents, completing basic finance tasks, diary management and other administrative tasks as required. The post holder will also assist in all aspects of the Union by reviewing policies relating to student groups and other activities across the Union, gathering data to assess the progress of the strategic plan, and review and identify areas in need of updating on the Union website.
Applicants should have a good understanding of Microsoft office software, have excellent organisational skills and have the ability to work with a wide range of people. Applicants are expected to have experience in administration, supporting projects and experience of managing a varied workload and meeting tight deadlines.
The post is a one year fixed term position. Starting salary will be £20,687 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, plus university closure days, pension scheme, free gym membership and an interest free TFL season ticket loan after a qualifying period.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
