Would you like to get arty and fundraise for Mind? Taking place on the 10th of October, World Mental Health Day is an opportunity to raise awareness and support for mental health provision across the world. From 10 am until 5 pm, your Vice-President Welfare Adam Sparkes, QM RAG and Student Council Officers will be in Library Square fundraising for mental health charity Mind, with some colourful art-inspired activities.

With eight out of ten students experiencing mental health problems last year according to a recent National Union of Students (NUS) survey, it’s vital to get students thinking about mental health. VP Welfare Adam said:

“It’s so important that we keep talking about mental health as it’s one of the most stressful times to be a student, with reduced funding for support. It’s essential that we keep having conversations, breaking down the stigma attached to these issues and keep up the pressure to increase funding for essential services.”
