The Students' Union works throughout the year to improve student life in areas such as access to education, student finance, equality of opportunity and student welfare. The Students' Union also represents students in the local community to local councils, police and other local organisations.

This area of the Students' Union's work is the Welfare Zone, led by the Vice President Welfare, supported by twelve Welfare and Equal Opportunities Representatives and a full-time Students' Union staff member.

The Welfare Zone produces regular briefings and updates on local and national issues relating to your student experience. You'll find them by clicking on the links below.
