Santa Run 2nd December

What better way to get into the Christmas spirit than watching thousands of Santa's running for charity in Victoria Park? Obviously, our volunteers know the best way to kick off their December! When we reached Victoria Park at 9am, our volunteers were swiftly assigned to different stations to set up for the run. As joyous Christmas songs played in the background, our volunteers, in their festive reindeer headbands and elf hats, ushered runners to the right tents and helped with bag drop and costume collection. Around 11am, we got less busy as the runners were set for the run. It was amusing to watch the sea of Santa's do warm-ups and definitely great fun to cheer them on as they start running. Our volunteers were then tasked to hand out medals, mince pies and bottled water at the finishing line. Fortunately, the weather has shown us mercy with alternating sunshine and drizzling but the muddy grounds did not spare our shoes. I think all our volunteers had a good time cleaning our shoes after! Huge thank you to all volunteers for your time and dedication, hope you all had as much fun as I did! - Issmaeel and Li Ying
