Welcome to Cultural Unity Week
At Queen Mary University of London, we are proud to celebrate the rich diversity of our student body. Cultural Unity Week is a dynamic initiative designed to bring students together, fostering an inclusive environment where cultural exchange and understanding thrive. This dedicated week is more than just a celebration—it’s a platform to explore the unique perspectives, traditions, and stories that make our community vibrant and diverse.
By creating spaces for dialogue, creativity, and shared experiences, Cultural Unity Week encourages meaningful interactions that transcend cultural boundaries. It’s an opportunity for students from all walks of life to connect, learn from one another, and build lasting bonds rooted in mutual respect and appreciation.
Cultural Unity Week embodies Queen Mary’s commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion. It reinforces the belief that our differences enrich us and that collaboration across cultures enhances our academic and social experiences. Together, we celebrate not only our individuality but also the collective strength of our multicultural student community.
Join us as we embrace the beauty of cultural unity, amplifying voices, bridging gaps, and inspiring a sense of belonging that extends beyond campus life.

Join us for an engaging and interactive training session focused on understanding and addressing unconscious bias related to cultural, racial, and geographical backgrounds. Led by an expert speaker, Ashraf Nehal, this session will combine personal insights with evidence-based strategies to shed light on how these biases influence our everyday decisions, interactions, and attitudes—often without us even realising it.
this training offers a safe and open space for participants to reflect, discuss, and collaborate on fostering inclusion and equality in our diverse society. As a student, this session is an opportunity to build your skills, broaden your perspective, and contribute to a more connected and equitable environment.
