If elected as a delegate to the National Union Of Students, I would run on a hardline environmental platform, encouraging the Union to take more decisive action, both internally and through campaigns, on issues such as:

- reducing the amount of bottled water sold at university outlets and focusing instead on investment in fountains and reusable containers

- promoting the local sourcing of food sold at university outlets, as well as non-animal products, reducing the net carbon output generated

I would also represent the views of those students dissatisfied with current government policy direction in areas such as:

- the short-sighted immigration policy with regards to leaving the European Economic Area, and the adverse effect that a hard Brexit would have on the many European students who study here

- combating absurdly low immigration targets, which will negatively affect the many international students who wish to study without concern over governmental ideology

As a student who took a year out due to mental health issues, I would also campaign for better data sharing between university and union institutions and branches to help more quickly tackle the growing epidemic of mental health issues among today’s student population
