Rahma Hegy – MANIFESTO
For Medicine PRE-CLINICAL REP
Hello, I am a first-year medic who enjoys photography, reading, designing logos, and visiting museums.
WHAT I WANT TO DO:
MISSED CLINICAL SKILLS AND OSCEs
-
I would like to work with the university to ensure that every student is confident with their clinical skills, have had time to practice them and that they are ready for OSCEs exams.
-
I would work to ensure additional enrichment sessions on clinical skills are provided, to consolidate the knowledge and aloe students’ multiple chances to practice.
-
I would also ask for the reopening of the clinical skills labs (to pre-book) for all students, individually or in small groups.
YOUR VOICE!
-
I would like to propose a system to gather all the students’ complaints, queries, worries and ideas anonymously.
-
These can then be gathered by the student reps and presented to our meetings for further discussions.
-
Answers to all these queries could be grouped in FAQs available at any time to all students. This is to avoid confusion and miscommunication.
MEDSOC!
EXPERIENCES
Experiences as a leader
-
Year representative in my High School for 2 consecutive years
-
Erasmus+ Project (major European Project) group leader
-
Captain of my chess High School team (we reached national level!)
Experiences as a team member
WHY AM I RUNNING?
Through these roles I improved my leadership and communication skills. I learnt to listen carefully, think critically, and work in the best of my ability to deliver the best outcome.
I decided to nominate myself because I’d love to represent the students, make them my top priority, and ensure the have the best time in their first 2 years of the course.
