Hello, I’m Hilary and I’d be honoured to be BDS2 Rep. If elected, I will advocate for flexibility in teaching to meet everyone’s needs. For example, in-person clinics supplemented by instructive videos and online resources, so those unable to attend benefit equally. Through encountering feedback as Clinical Group Rep, I’ve gained a representative view of your concerns, making me ideal for the role. I can innovate solutions accordingly, such as replacing potentially unhelpful Q&As with lecturers replying to Padlet comments. Additionally, I will remind you of upcoming tasks, dates and deadlines.
Following a challenging year, I hope to unite us through both non-drinking and drinking socials. We unfortunately missed the Boat Ball, which I hope to make possible next year in collaboration with medicine representatives. Overall, I am organised, reliable and approachable, and I pledge to honour the student voice by listening to and advocating passionately for your views. Thank you!
