Dear AJQSsiens,
I am running to be your 2022/2023 Community Manager.
Let’s take it from the top: The essence of a community manager is to inform the group about any/all purposeful and relevant news relating to our dual degree. They also take care of all AJQS social media (Instagram & LinkedIn ) and make sure they are up to date (and, of course, visually pleasing).
As Community Manager, I will ensure that every piece of information is passed on to the class in the clearest and most efficient way. Creativity, clarity and consistency...I promise you all of these and more! There will be distinct emphasis and reminders on important matters (particularly academically), and more leniency towards entertaining posts. I will also be cooperative and entertain an honest and open relationship with the other board members. Teamwork makes the dream work, right? :)
Talking about teamwork, I believe our social media platforms could be used for interactive posts. Aside from the Christmas baby picture calendar, the community manager, in collaboration with the social events officers, could come up with short and fun games with prizes at stake. Simple yet entertaining from time to time.
In addition to the regular communicative social media posts, I believe our journey as a class needs to be documented more. After all, it’ll be our last year in London, it is worth remembering!
Another idea would be filming a trailer type of video to present every member of the DD. Not only would it be a great souvenir to keep, but it would also work fantastically when welcoming next year's L1, to whom this video could be shown.
Following that same spree, we could put together a yearbook. There are many aspects to this project: A beginning and an end picture montage could be taken to see our evolution through time. This would be a great way to look back at our experience. Each one of us will get to add a comment under their photo. It could be turned into a tangible yearbook (but of course, one step at a time). The yearbook would also include class highlights taken during the year.
There are many more ideas to come if you trust me to be the manager of our community :)
Bisous,
Michelle
