Hi all, my names Younes (Younsse), and I’m a current second year Economics student. I’m originally from Morocco, more specifically Casablanca. I’m also the current treasurer of NASOC. For 2022/23, the role that I’ll be applying for is President.
The reason that I’m apply for presidency is because I will usher a new era to NASOC and revive the society to not only what it used to be, but something even better. I’ll be the first president of NASOC that will not originate from the first year of NASOC and so I believe I’ll be providing a breath of fresh air. Not only that, but I also know that my impeccable organisational skills, willingness to get things done, and natural nature to lead will allow me to be a great leader. Addtionally, I'm responsible for events such as the succesful Culture Night: Fashion and Talent show, Quiz Night, Rounders and North African Social.
The things I’ll be implementing next year:
- Fortnightly events.
- International trips, including a day trip to Paris in the first semester, and at the beginning of the second semester, a charity run and week holiday to Morocco.
- More collaborations with other QM societies as well as other university NASOC’s.
- The chance to work with new charities and cut ties with the old NASOC regime.
- Introduce an exclusive North African Met Gala, where
- Promote a more positive society where students can come and meet new people.
