Hi! I'm Maria and I'm running to become a Team Leader for Teddy Bear Hospital. I was the Allied health freshers rep for this year and I really enjoyed getting involved and helping out with clinics, packing goody bags, participating in the clinic in a special needs school and, of course, helping out during Safety Day. I'm an active member in any team, and I'm willing to put in the work to get things done. Just this year I have stepped in to help lead clinics, as well as providing guidance and help to new volunteers who are unsure about how to tackle the topics we've presented at each station. I would really like to have more responsibility within the committee and to continue volunteering and representing TBH out in public, and I believe this role will cement my commitment to the important work that Teddy Near Hospital does in schools around East London.

I also always have plenty of ideas, some being:

- Introduce a poster making competition, so that we can give the schools that we visit a gift alongside the goody bags to ensure that both the teachers and the children remember the work we did in our clinics.

- Arrange a rota for goody bag packing and possibly packing them in bulk, so that we aren't put under pressure closer to each clinic regarding the bags.

- Make more of a community with our volunteers, maybe arrange a group chat so that people feel more comfortable volunteering on their own and not depending on their friends, as well as having a separate mode of communication with volunteers on the day to make it easier to stay updated - emails sometimes get overlooked, and it would be easier to find substitutes on days where people drop out.
