Hi, my name is Ana and I am currently a 3rd year medical student going into my 4th year, and I am running for the position of secretary. I am currently on committee as one of the promotions officers and it was truly a great experience and it definitely prepared me to take on a greater responsibility. Having booked and liaised with different schools for clinics each week, I am well equipped with the skills required for the role of secretary and have a good understanding of how the society works as a whole.
My experience with Teddy Hospital and as RAG events officer this year has made me realise the importance of being organised and that is definitely something you can expect from me should I get the position. In addition to that, not only will I do my best to be the volunteers champion but do my best to support the committees needs as well.
And lastly, I firmly believe teaching a child about healthy living from a young age has a huge positive impact in their life and I would love nothing more but to be involved in a cause that does just that.
