Hello everyone! My name is Charlotte and I’m a 2nd year medic running for next year’s vice president :)
Why am I running for Vice President?
Loving teddy bears may be one part, but I would love to continue to be a part of the biggest volunteering group on campus! I would love to develop my communication and liaison skills with helping to organise the outreach clinics and RLH drop ins, as well as bringing in my own ideas and contribution to the running of the SSC2B/C clinics, which I had the privilege of being a part of this year for my own SSC. To be an integral part of the process of ensuring smooth running of TBH is a responsibility and challenge that I am willing to work for!
Volunteering is a great way to engage with the community and help to promote healthy habits from a young age in children, and therefore, if I were next year’s vice president I cannot think of a greater honour and ethos to uphold. I enjoy working with others in a team and making a positive difference for young children.
TBH has become a significant and integral aspect to my university life and I have enjoyed every aspect of being a part of it this year. I would love to continue this journey as part of the teddy bear family :)
Experience
I was Team Leader last year which gave me front-line experience of teaching children about healthcare and this was a really rewarding experience for me. This year I would love to take interest in another aspect of TBH and learn more about another perspective. In addition, I was creative director for ophthalmology society so I will be able to use my experiences on time management, teamwork, and organisation to help TBH reach even more heights.
I had the privilege of being a part of the TBH SSC as a student this year so I have experience on the other end of how I enjoyed the SSC as well as how I could improve them for future years. In addition, I helped to organise the external services for this year’s annual TBH flagship event: Safety Day, and this gave me insight into how to liaise and work with services outside of the university.

I am someone driven, passionate, and with great organisational skills, so you can trust that everything will be on time to effectively portray the experiences and events of TBH throughout the year. I am inspired and motivated by TBH’s message and I think it is a really rewarding group to be a part of. I believe I can help to contribute to the smooth running of TBH and contribute my ideas to improving the society even more. Lastly, I am someone easy-going and friendly, who loves to meet new people and connect with others to work together :)
