Hello to all my fellow teddy doctors and dentists!
My name is Bertha Lee, and I am a second year medical student!
Having had the experience as a TBH volunteer for the past year, I would love to be able to be part of the committee and show more commitment towards this amazing society by being the secretary.
Teddy Bear Hospital being the best volunteering group of the year has grown into one of the biggest and busiest societies at Barts. Being able to have well-organised and responsible secretaries is key to the success of this society.
Having had the experience of being part of the team running the Women in Healthcare Surgical Conference 2021, I believe I carry the experiences required for a good secretary, especially for such an extensive society.
Here are some qualities about me that makes me the perfect candidate as a secretary for this society:
- Well-organised, responsible and always on time for all the meetings - So you never have to worry about losing documents containing meeting records or volunteering hours
- Friendly and approachable - I will ensure all the committee meetings will always be fun and relaxed while still being productive.
- Great at working as a team - this is a key quality to have as I will be working closely with my fellow secretary and also with other committee members of the society
- Excellent listener and can communicate effectively both as an individual and as a team!
- Have worked as a secretary in a company
