Hi everyone, my name is Yvonne and I’m currently a first year dentistry student. I would love to be a promotion officer next year.
Volunteering at clinics has been an incredibly rewarding experience and has helped improve my confidence when interacting with children. As part of next year's committee, I want to continue to contribute back to the society and maintain this welcoming environment where volunteers can implement positive change in our local community.
My experience as a first year representative for TBH has solidified my understanding of how to efficiently organise and run clinics and society events (and rapidly pack goody bags), including the successful teddy bear faces event. As promotions officer, I’m excited to utilise my creative skills and experience using Canva, GIMP and video editing software to create posters and videos, and promote the society through social media to encourage more people to take part. I am also looking forward to improving my communication skills through contacting local schools to arrange clinics.
I’ve loved being a part of the committee this year, and would relish the opportunity to continue being a part of this friendly society.
