Earth day, everyday!
Hi everyone! I’m Laura, a first year English and French law student passionate about sustainability and the environment.
Climate change is all around us, scientific warnings could not be louder: the Earth, our home, needs us now more than ever.
I firmly believe that everyone can do their bit to mitigate their carbonic footprint. Having a campus-based community is a great opportunity to collaborate with other societies and even external organisations to further raise awareness on the small, yet very significant actions we can all embrace in our daily life. And there are so many things we can do!
Introducing a better recycling system, making our campus lovelier by additional plants, and most importantly, increasing the plantbased food options are only three projects among our already wide set of great initiatives that could be developed.
Of course, I know many of you may have wonderful ideas of your own, and as your Sustainability Representative, I would be honoured to make sure that everyone feels heard and valued.
It would therefore mean a lot to me to work alongside Green Mary and the Student’s Union and together, respond to the urgent green message.
