Hi. I'm Benji and I'm running for events director.I have thoroughly enjoyed the events I attended this year as they helped me interact with more Japanese and like-minded people and also helped me connect to the culture further.
My main aim will be to sustain the fantastic events that were carried out this year and build on this foundation with additional new cultural and social activities such as pub socials with other uni's, movie nights, ikebana and kakizome.
Previously,I have organised several events with my school such as talent shows, prom and charity events and I believe this experience, along with my team-working skills, will make me a fantastic events director.
I would love to be able to bring together more people who are interested in the culture and potentially incorporate more events which collaborate with other societies and universities such as the inter-uni undokai and the sushi making class with foodsoc.
