I, Vishwajeet Singh Deora, am running for QMSU President because students deserve leadership that is strategic, accountable, and action-focused. Our Students’ Union must not simply discuss issues. It must resolve them.

My campaign is built on practical commitments that address the real pressures students face every day.

My Commitments:

Make Printing Free
Academic success should not come with hidden costs. I will work to remove printing charges so students can focus on learning, not expenses.

Bring Affordable Food and Student Kitchens
With rising living costs, access to affordable food is essential. I will advocate for lower-cost food options and improved student kitchen facilities.

Tackle Rent Issues
Housing pressures are affecting student wellbeing. I will push for stronger engagement with accommodation providers and clearer accountability on rent concerns.

Create More Paid Campus Jobs
Students deserve meaningful employment opportunities. I will work to expand paid roles within the university to support financial independence and professional development.

Support Commuters
Commuting students require better structural consideration. I will advocate for clearer scheduling, improved study access, and practical support.

Increase Funding for Societies and Sports
Student communities are central to university life. I will work to strengthen funding and ensure societies and sports clubs have the resources they need to thrive.
