I believe life at QMUL deserves to be celebrated. University is a huge part of our lives which deserves to be a valued and meaningful experience. I would like to inspire others with my own ideas and listen to the voices of others who may be suffering in silence.

Maahnoor Malik's Manifesto :)

As a dedicates social sciences and humanity student, i always strive to make the best change possible. Whether this is in my study routine, my reading lists or learning more about the world around me every day. However, as a young 18-year-old student, juggling day to day difficulties and hardships. I would like to represent students at QM who feel as though there is no one to rely on. As a young individual I am aware of the problems we all face with studying and education. My own life has been immensely painful and difficult, where I’ve lost loved ones close to me unexpectedly, and I needed support from the university community. I am here to represent and dedicate my time, for students to feel supported and inspired by the student union community, to gain resilience and get through rough patches and times. Many students, including myself tend to suffer with readings, deadlines, overwhelming content and difficult to comprehend feedback. I will aim to gather student issues and fight a way to tackle them with fellow social science representatives, and give an improved university experience, and learning. To juggle all of these issues, I aim to strategically solve each of these through student feedback and surveys for what went well and wrong, enabling students to confide in their student teams and understanding we are all students at the end of the day, no one is perfect and everyone has battles, we just need to tackle them together rather than suffering alone. I am committed to gaining valuable experiences and learning more about the cohort of my course, whilst acting on these queries and student feedback. Thank you.
