As a commuter student, I understand the challenges of travelling to campus while balancing studies and daily life. I want to ensure commuter voices are heard, improve campus support, and help create a more inclusive experience so commuter students feel represented and connected.
Candidate: Muhammad Nahid Hussain
Who I Am
I am a commuter student at Queen Mary University of London, and I understand the challenges that come with travelling to campus while balancing studies, work, and personal commitments. Commuter students are a large part of the Queen Mary community, and our voices deserve to be heard.
My Priorities
Better Spaces for Commuters
Commuter students often spend long days on campus between lectures. I will push for more accessible study spaces, rest areas, and lockers so commuters have a comfortable place to study and store belongings.
Stronger Representation
I will actively collect feedback from commuter students and ensure their concerns are represented within the Queen Mary Students' Union and the Student Representative Committee.
More Flexible and Inclusive Campus Experience
I will advocate for better consideration of commuting challenges in timetabling, campus services, and student activities so commuters can participate fully in university life.
Building a Commuter Community
Commuter students can sometimes feel disconnected from campus life. I will support initiatives and events that help commuter students connect with each other and feel more included in the Queen Mary community.
Why Vote for Me
As a commuter student myself, I understand the realities of travelling to campus and managing university life alongside it. I am committed to listening to students, raising their concerns, and working with others to create practical improvements.
Vote for me to ensure commuter students are heard and supported.
