We need better assessment feedback, better career and placement opportunities and better financial aid. I'm here to fight for that. It's time to make student-led changes for student-led growth.
Hi! I'm Hilary, a 2nd year law student from Malaysia who enjoys badminton, anything and everything performing arts and the occassional MUN.
Having been a former national representative at international conferences and event runner for a regional conference, I am currently a student representative at webinars for offer holders endorsing QMUL, Corporate Relations Director at QM Malaysian Society where I built professional partnerships with firms, and Founding Treasurer at QM Canadians and Friends where I balanced freebies with funding to ensure maximum student-engagement.
These have honed my advocacy and multi-stakeholder management skills, which as your VP HSS, I will work towards:
- Increased accessibility to financial aid, especially for underrepresented groups and conflict-ridden backgrounds;
- Enhanced personalised assessment feedback especially for essay-based assignments;
- More placement opportunites while improving and simplifying accessibility of career resources for students.
With the experience to drive change, and the passion to follow it through, individual voices will be heard, understood and acted on. I'm here to strive for better assessment feedback, better career and placement opportunities and better financial aid. It's time to make student-led changes for student-led growth.
