Anna Borysova

Strive and thrive, we shall persevere.

As an international student who's lived in Hurghada, Egypt, and now the UK, I know first hand the challenges of adapting to new systems, cultures, and expectations. From visa delays to finding your footing in a new city, l've been there, and I want to make sure no international student feels left behind.

What I'll Do for You:

Cut the Confusion - clearer signposting to essential services (Careers, Advice & Counselling, Societies, etc.), because no one should have to dig through 10 tabs and look at a map 4 different ways to find one answer.
Celebrate Cultures - more cultural events that spotlight your traditions, stories, and food. Think: festivals, film nights, and socials.
Real Representation - I'll bring your concerns straight to the SU and university, not let them get lost in committee jargon.
Smooth Landings - better support for international students arriving late or adjusting to the UK system, so you don't feel like you're playing catch-up from day one.

Why Me?

I've been the confused fresher arriving late with a suitcase and too many questions. I've navigated UCAS, UK visas, and the maze of university bureaucracy, and I've come out the other side ready to make it easier for you. I'm not just here to represent, I'm here to improve your experience at QM as an international student.

Let's make being an international student at QMUL not just about surviving, but thriving.

Vote Anna Borysova for International Rep - because your journey deserves a strong voice.
