I am you, from you, for you — guided by Ubuntu. I aim to make QMSU inclusive, innovative, and impactful, strengthening opportunities, engagement, and representation for every student. Together, we can build a Union that listens, acts, and leaves a lasting difference for all.

Tanya Chopra for QMSU President

Include. Innovate. Impact.

Queen Mary’s Students’ Union has built strong foundations—representation, services, engagement. My aim is not to critique, but to strengthen what already works and take it further.

As a social entrepreneur and International Business student, I approach leadership with a simple principle: before aspiring to lead, I observe, learn, and take inspiration from every little thing around me. Every small insight can become a better solution for students.

I am you, from you, for you, guided by Ubuntu — “I am because we are.” Every decision, every initiative, every step I take is for the student community itself, because we thrive together.

🤝 INCLUDE

Inclusion is more than visibility. It is approachability.

I want QMSU to feel closer — where students know not just who represents them, but how decisions are shaped. Clear consultation summaries, open communication, and consistent feedback loops will make leadership accessible to all.

💡 INNOVATE

Innovation is improving systems, not replacing them.

Small structural improvements create lasting trust and impact. I will focus on:

• Smarter student engagement methods

• Clear “You Said → We Did” updates

• Measurable goals for advocacy

🚀 IMPACT

University should leave every student with more than a degree.

I want to strengthen employability through structured internship pipelines, skill-building collaborations, and employer partnerships — ensuring every student graduates with tangible experience, not just academic knowledge. Opportunity should not be reserved for the most connected — it should be accessible to all.

The Leadership I Offer

• Respectful of what exists.

• Constructive about what can improve.

• Inspired by every small detail around me.

• Guided by Ubuntu and shared humanity.

• Ambitious about what is possible.

I am you, from you, for you.

I am not running to disrupt.

I am running to strengthen.

If elected, QMSU will be more than a representative body — it will be a catalyst for inclusion, innovation, and impact.
