A President's role is a big time commitment but it is extremely fulfilling. Expect to spend around 2-4 hours a week on presidential duties, meetings, liaising with other Absocs on collaborations, and communicating with your fellow committee members. A president is not a ruler - you must guide your committee in making decisions and ensure the smooth running of the society.
As a President, you will be expected to:

A vice president plays an important role within the executive committee. You will be required to liaise with your co-presidents as well as your committee, and help facilitate events and campaigns.
As a Vice President you will be expected to:
- Assist the Presidents in their duties and assume their responsibilities in their absence.
- Help coordinate and oversee the activities of various society committees and officers.
- Contribute to the overall strategic planning and decision-making of the society

QMBL Ahlulbayt Islamic Society - Treasurer (2 places)
Every society needs a treasurer - from expensing teabags and cups for our chai, to flowers and balloon arches for our events, you need to be prepared to keep your committee on budget and keep an eye on our funds, as well as apply for funding grants when they open.
As a Treasurer you will be expected to:
- Manage the society's finances, including budgeting, bookkeeping, and financial reporting
- Collect membership fees and other revenues
- Process payments and reimbursements for society expenses
-Ensure compliance with university and external financial regulations, including RAG rules.

A secretary's role is simple, but done effectively, can streamline the entire events planning process.

- Help with room bookings and speaker forms

A social media officer plays a crucial role in keeping all of our members up to date with upcoming events and collaborations. You will have the opportunity to be creative and create events posters, Islamic reminders, story posts and more. This role is more technical than the Content Creation role, so make sure you read both descriptions!
As a social media officer you will be expected to:
- Manage the society's social media presence across various platforms
- Create and curate engaging content to promote the society's activities and events
- Respond to inquiries and messages received through social media channels
- Analyse social media metrics and adjust strategies accordingly

This is a new role introduced this year. You will work alongside the Social media officer to ensure that our social media platforms remain up-to-date, by attending events regularly and capturing photos and videos, and posting stories.
As content creation officer, you will be expected to:
- Develop and create various forms of content (stories, videos, graphics) to support the society's objectives by attending events and capturing photos and videos.
- Collaborate with the Social Media Officer to distribute content across appropriate channels.
- Ensure that all content aligns with the society's values and mission.

The events leads are the heart and soul of the committee - your role will be the most versatile, and your tasks will range from planning, organising and attending events, co-ordinating with speakers, providing refreshments and being on-site for as many events as possible.
As events lead, you will be expected to:
- Plan, organise, and execute the society's events and activities. This includes having ideas and topics for DKDCs and Book Club events in the future.
- Coordinate logistics, including venue booking, decorations, and setting up the room
- Promote events through various channels and manage event registrations via google forms.
- Evaluate event success and gather feedback for future improvements through feedback forsm.

Campaigns and outreach officer may seem like a daunting title, but the role is simple. You will be required to work alongside the events leads on planning and coordinating events, reaching out to other societies regarding collaborations and attending events on a regular basis.
As campaigns and outreach officer, you will be expected to:
- Develop and implement campaigns to raise awareness about issues relevant to the society through participating in the QMSU's liberation months.
- Establish partnerships and collaborations with other absocs and societies.
- Organise outreach events and activities to engage the wider university community.
- Promote the society's values and mission through various campaigns and initiatives.
