About this event

Welcome back! Knitting has returned for this semester :) Beginners welcome! Learn how to knit a hat or scarf for yourself or local charity Whitechapel Mission. Register your interest using this link:

https://forms.gle/tXQv7ZVP9shyQQYR9.

There have been a couple of changes since last semester:

If you would like to knit something for yourself, please bring along your own needles and yarn. Here is a link to buy cheap yarn and needles: https://www.marrineryarns.com/. If you're not sure what to buy, this may help: If you want to knit a hat for yourself, purchase size 5 or 6mm needles. Most yarns are suitable to knit with this.

Resident expert Lori will help and support you with any knitting patterns.

We will use 10mm needles and super chunky yarn to knit hats for charity. All knits made using materials provided by the Advice and Counselling service will be donated to local charity Whitechapel Mission which supports individuals experiencing homelessness. We will start by knitting super chunky and warm hats!

Complete beginners are welcome.

We are also continuing the group blanket that we started last semester.

Questions? No problem! Please feel free to contact us, and we will be more than happy to help :)
