A cosy autumn hello both to returning and new Postgraduate students at Queen Mary!

I hope you’re all settling in well to the new academic year (and for many of you, a brand new course and campus).

Now that we’re past the excitement of Freshers and Halloween, it might feel like your academic life is starting to ramp up. Whilst we’re sure you’re all working hard, it’s also incredibly important to find the time to relax, unwind and reward yourself for your progress so far.

To help you do this, the Student’s Union will be running a  ‘Craft and Chat’ mixer to give you the chance to get together with your other Postgrads and create some fall-themed crafts. We will have some materials available to make your very own pine-cone bird feeders, as well as try your hand at some origami.

I hope to see lots of new faces there, and don’t be put off if you’re not the crafty type: I can personally guarantee that the bar will be set very low! We will also have a mini-game to help you find out a bit more about your fellow crafters, and the chance to win a small prize!

Snacks will be provided!
