What do I wish people would stop assuming about me?

Wednesday 07 December 2022, 5pm - 7pm

About this event

This event will involve jars decoration using paint pens and students sharing their experiences anonymously by writing down their answers to four prompt questions on a piece of paper. Some examples of the prompt questions are “what do I wish people would stop assuming about me or my disabilities/ SpLD?” and “what my disabilities/ SpLD have taught me?” This will be referred to as the ‘letter’. Following this, all the decorated jars will be placed in the corner of the room, and each student will exchange letters anonymously by placing their letters in a random jar. The purpose of this is to give students some confidence in sharing and talking about their condition openly. This event is open to all students who self-identify as having disabilities and/or SpLD.
