Zine Making Workshop

Tuesday 29 October 2024, 6pm - 8pm

Matt Spencer Boardroom Student's Union
About this event

Celebrate this year’s Black History Month themes with us while we foreground resilience, self-care, and well-being through an exploration and dialogue around black and natural hair in a zine making workshop with Korantema Anyimadu!

The word ‘zine’ is shorthand for magazine and zines are often produced by artists and other creatives, sometimes self-published in small numbers. They also might incorporate found or personal images from their author’s lives.

Join Korantema and our Community Organiser for BHM, Aliya Garraway on Tuesday29th October from 4-6pm in our Matt Spencer Boardroom. No prior experience is required, and all materials are provided. We encourage you to bring any newspapers, magazines, or other found materials for use in creating your own zine(s) :)
