Open to all students at Queen Mary. This workshop run by the University Student Life team, will focus on the definitions of consent, the societal narratives and constructs it relates to, in what circumstances consent can be given, myths and misconceptions around consent, sexual harassment and abuse and the barriers facing survivors seeking support. We will also take a hands-on approach to learning how to safely intervene in the face of harassment or abuse.
The event will take place in the Matt Spencer Boardroom in the Students' Union Hub and forms part of activities during the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-based Violence 2023.
