Then try our ⁠4 session course covering operative etiquette, basic, advanced and laparoscopic suturing skills. Limited tickets so purchase whilst they're available, 1 ticket includes all 4 sessions


•⁠  ⁠Week 1: Foundations of Surgical Practice 
Introduction to operative etiquette: 
•⁠  ⁠Theatre layout + team roles
•⁠  ⁠Sterile vs non-sterile zones
•⁠  ⁠Handwashing (scrub technique)
•⁠  ⁠Names of most common instruments (scalpel, scissors, forceps, needle holder, retractors, suction) 
•⁠  ⁠Gloving + Gowning 

Week 2: Basic Knot Tying and Simple Suturing 
Knot tying: 
•⁠  ⁠One-handed Surgical square knot 
Basic Suture Techniques: 
•⁠  ⁠Simple Interrupted Suture 
•⁠  ⁠Simple Continuous Suture  

Week 3: Advanced Suturing and Wound Management 
Suture Techniques: 
•⁠  ⁠Horizontal + Vertical Mattress Suture 
•⁠  ⁠Sub-cuticular Suture + Aberdeen Knot tie

Week 4: Lap-box skills + Assessment
•⁠  ⁠Peg Transfer and precision cutting
•⁠  ⁠Led by general surgeon who will formally assess all skills taught with prizes to be won!
