Join us for our Point-of-Care Ultrasound (PoCUS) course led by Dr Ashley Matthies, an EM Consultant and Ultrasound expert at Homerton!
This will be a full-day practical teaching workshop where you will have the opportunity to get plenty of hand-on experience with using the ultrasound machines as well as receive teaching on the interpretation of ultrasound images. This course is perfect for those of you who have had little experience with using ultrasounds, but is also perfect in preparation for your clinical placements and upcoming exams!
Certificates will be provided for all attendees.
About Dr Ashley Matthies:
The course will be led by Dr Matthies FRCEM MSc, an Emergency Consultant at Homerton. Dr Matthies has completed a Masters degree in Medical Ultrasound and now serves as the Royal College of Emergency Medicine (RCEM) Regional Ultrasound Lead with extensive experience in leading ultrasound courses for both medical students and clinicians. He is also a Focused Acute Medical Ultrasound (FAMUS) & Focused Ultrasound for Intensive Care (FUSIC) supervisor.
