Blomeley Room 2
About this event

Art Society and Biological Science Society are holding a very special event!

We are holding a hybrid art session and interactive exhibition, on the subject of paleoart!

Paleoart is the art used when reconstructing ancient ecosystems and organisms!

You will get to learn about what it is, the history of it and the fascinating history of life on our planet

There will be a whole range of activities, such as:

  • making your own paleoart piece based on clues given about the animals and plants that lived there,
  • colouring and making some life size freaks of the past, like Opabinia and Anomalocaris,
  • making stickers based on whatever animals take your fancy
  • quilling and pop-ups based on a prehistoric theme
  • and more!

If you do not have much time for the art, you can just walk through and have a look at the exhibition!

We will also have a photo opportunity where you can pretend to be an eccentric Victorian scientist and have dinner inside of a dinosaur

Also, on Saturday 23rd March, we will be visiting Crystal Palace to see that very same dinosaur!

We look forward to seeing you there! :D
