Programme:
20/20:
What if Orpheus took a different deal? What if it all turned a bit differently, someone who could not bear to see their love pass on, in the process triggering something perhaps even more tragic than anyone could imagine. Orpheus is doomed to watch Eurydice die and reincarnate, falling in love over and over again. Eurydice is none the wiser, thinking she is falling in love with a mysterious stranger through some shenaniganry. The narrative jumps between time, telling of the journey our characters took and how we ended up here. Can Orpheus and Eurydice have a happy ending?
Ding Dong! Avon Calling:
Four ladies, one Costa coffee, a bleached moustache and a dream. It’s 2008, the Sugababes are at number 1, side-fringes are everywhere, and skinny jeans are in! Step inside the world of Avon’s beauty pyramid scheme and join an eclectic gaggle of Woking’s hottest pyramid schemers as they prepare for the “bonanza of the century!” Bring your prosecco and a mini quiche, this soiree is about to get messy! How will new girl Frankie (not Frankie Bridge from the Saturdays) disrupt this pecking order, as we unveil the cracks beneath the polished surface of the beauty industry?
Infection Eradicated:
History repeats itself, but so does nature. What happens when humans mirror the survival mechanism of one of the oldest organisms in the world? Follow the steps of bacterial infection told in parallel with a manipulatory relationship. See how this relationship effects friendships and how our friends are our immune system in life. And maybe learn a thing or two about microbiology on the way.
Bitchfight:
Mia and Amber never had their spitting, screaming bitchfight, but would it have been better for everyone if they had? Five years since their friendship fizzled out, Amber appears on Mia's doorstep, wedding dress on and suitcase in hand. Five years on, and can Mia stand up to the abusive best friend she thought was consigned to the past? Bitchfight is a play about toxicity in friendships: the sort of toxicity comprising years of slights and comments which, in isolation, sound mad to label as abuse, but still leave deep scars that cannot be healed.
We can't wait to welcome you to see our work!
