About this event

BOOK NOW

Take a break from your day and reconnect with nature at this relaxed, hands-on herb planting workshop hosted at the Queen Mary Zero Waste Shop. Guided by members of the Zero Waste and Grounds teams, you’ll learn how to plant and care for your own herbs, from potting and soil choice, to tips for growing at home.

This drop-in style session offers a calm, welcoming space to slow down, get your hands dirty, and learn practical skills that support sustainable living. Whether you’re new to gardening or simply looking for a mindful moment during Climate Action Week, this workshop invites you to step away from screens, enjoy some green time, and leave with something you’ve grown yourself.

After such popularity last year, we are introducing time slots so that you can enjoy planting your herbs and get the most from the workshop! Make sure you've booked a timeslot via the microsoft form

Slots:

  1. 15:00-15:30
  2. 15:30-16:00
  3. 16:00-16:30
  4. 16:30-17:00

Numbers are limited to 20 people per slot, so please sign-up early to avoid disappointment. We cannot guarantee you will be able to take part without booking here. If you're unable to attend, please let us know at least 24hrs ahead so that we can re-allocate your spot and ensure as many people as possible can make the most of the event.
