Plastic surgery is often perceived as an isolated specialty, yet its reconstructive principles underpin a wide range of surgical fields — from tendon anastomosis to oculoplastics. This teaching series aims to highlight the shared philosophy that unites these subspecialties while giving students practical exposure to their unique techniques and challenges.
Through a combination of focused lectures, case-based discussions, and hands-on workshops, participants will explore the different domains of plastic surgery. By examining real clinical cases and the wet-lab hands on workshops, students will gain a clearer understanding of the breadth and creativity inherent in Plastic surgery.
The series seeks to inspire medical students to appreciate reconstructive surgery as a dynamic and integrative discipline that bridges anatomy, physiology, and artistry.
