Join us on a trip to the Royal Courts of Justice. We will be taking part in a Courtroom Workshop with the National Justice Museum.
This thought-provoking courtroom workshop will explore a contemporary criminal case.
Students will:
- Explore the roles in a courtroom
- Prepare and enact a trial based on a real contemporary case
- Discuss and debate real sentencing options
- Learn about the law and justice system and consequences of breaking the law
- Be encouraged to use their rights and responsibilities to become more active citizens
Theme of the workshop - Court In Session: Murder
- A 17-year-old is charged with murder under the principle of joint enterprise. The ultimately fatal knife attack took place against a victim who was targeted because he was mistakenly identified as a member of a rival gang.
